Watts Atelier – Head Drawing Fundamentals with Brian Knox
Class will be live-streamed with a high-quality recording uploaded for viewing several hours after the stream ends.
Instructor Critiques for Full Participation Students will be uploaded after each class.
The date is January 20, 2020 and March 23, 2020
The time is 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM on Monday.
Beginning to Intermediate is the level.
The class introduces concepts that are necessary to understand for a successful drawing of a human figure. The basic principles of gesture, structure and mass will be applied to the figure through the use of the Reilly rhythm and abstractions. Class work will be done from handouts and a live model. Instructor demonstrations are standard.
Haled can be downloaded immediately. Brian Knox is the Head Drawing Fundamentals with Watts Atelier.
There will be no registration for Full Participation and Audit-Only courses after that. February 1st .
Until then, the Livestream Video Archive will be available for all students. April 12th, 2020. Two weeks after the end of the term.
Brian is currently working toward a career in illustration after studying at Watts Atelier. He developed an intuitive understanding of basic shapes and the underlying forms of the human body after spending his first 2 years at the atelier focused on drawing basics. He is well suited for teaching the basics of figure drawing. He is a student and participating in the Watts Atelier student teacher program.
